The Tampa Prep Wrestling Program is responsible for more Individual State Champions then any other sport at Tampa Prep. The work ethic, confidence, and skills that a student gains from the sport of wrestling, will help them succeed in all aspects of there life.

Head Coach: Andy Bricker

Coaching Background: Coach Andy Bricker will enter his seventh season as the Head Coach and Health / P.E. Teacher at Tampa Preparatory School. The past six seasons Bricker has coached 13 state qualifiers, 11 state place winners, five state finalist, two state champions and the 2014 third-place team finish at the wrestling state championship. Bricker comes to Tampa Prep after a successful three-year coaching period at Campbellsville University, a NAIA Institution in Kentucky, where he Coached 13 All Americans and 1 National Champion. Coach Bricker also served as an assistant for a short stint at Belmont Abbey College, a NCAA Division 2 institution in North Carolina and 1 year at Campbell University, a NCAA Division 1 institution also in NC. Bricker is a native of Live Oak, FL, and graduated from Campbell University in 2004 with a degree in Physical Education / Teacher Education.
Accomplishments: During his four-year career at Campbell, he compiled 86 wins to rank eighth on the school's all-time victories list. Bricker was also a Three-Time CAA All-Conference, finishing second in the conference in the 125-pound weight class as a freshman, and was twice named the team's MVP (2001 & 2003). Bricker completed his career at Suwannee High School with a career record of 122-3 and was a two-time state champion. He was named Most Outstanding Wrestler in the 1999 High School National Open. Bricker also proudly represented the state of Florida at the Cadet Freestyle Wrestling National Championships in Fargo, North Dakota, placing sixth. He became one of only two All-Americans from Florida in 1997.
