Biography
I have found that connections with people have been key in my life. After finishing a Master of Science degree in Psychology, I reconnected with my Girl Scout camp and YMCA camp counselor friend who was leaving her job in Admissions and was heading to graduate school. After hearing the satisfaction she had had working in Admissions, I applied for her job and was hired at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California. As one of five undergraduate colleges, Harvey Mudd provided me with many connections with both colleagues and students.

After 11 years of interviewing fascinating and wickedly smart students, reading over 10,000 applications and essays, traveling the country visiting high schools and reviewing financial aid, I left higher education in Southern California and moved to Florida where I spent one year as the merit scholarship coordinator at the University of South Florida. Although I enjoyed the stimulating environment in higher education, working on the secondary level has allowed me to forge more meaningful connections with students and families. There is nothing more satisfying than working with students as they strive to reach their dreams. My goal is to make the College Admission process less daunting and even fun. While I cannot predict or control the outcomes, I can be their conduit to the college side, as well as their champion and advocate, as they navigate and explore who they are and who they wish to become.
