Tampa Preparatory School is leading the way in education with our focus on what's best for students. Our independent, coeducational college prep school enrolls approximately 650 students in grades 6 - 12. For more than 40 years, our educational philosophy has instilled values of fairness, decency, honor, diligence and academic curiosity. Students receive unparalleled instruction from caring teachers at the school’s 150,000 square-foot complex located in the heart of downtown Tampa.

The school utilizes iPads in a one-to-one environment, expanding our curricular offerings with technology that supports a variety of learning styles. As a result, Tampa Prep is has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for innovation, leadership and educational excellence. Challenging academics include opportunities for focused concentration in STEM and Global Studies. Students participate in a variety of extracurricular activities such as state-champion athletic teams, state-ranked chorus and community service endeavors. Upon graduation, students are placed in the finest colleges and universities in the country. Biography of Head of School Kevin M. Plummer

Kevin became the seventh Head of Tampa Preparatory School in July 2007. He and his wife Jennifer moved from the Philadelphia area where Kevin was the Middle School Head at Chestnut Hill Academy. He is a 1989 graduate of Colby College where he was named a Lacrosse All-American. Kevin was awarded the highly competitive and prestigious Klingenstein Fellowship at the Teachers College of Columbia University where he received a Master of Education Administration in 1999. Kevin's new roots go deeply into the Tampa community where he serves on the Executive Steering Committe of the Friends of the Riverwalk, is a Board Member for Creative TampaBay and is a trustee of the Boys and Girls Club. Recently he was elected to the Board of FCIS, was named as a Board Member of SSATB, and served as President of B.A.A.I.S. (2009-2010). Kevin and Jennifer have a daughter, Galen Grace.
