Maureen Ayral: Maureen Ayral is Senior Vice-President - Investment Officer at Wells Fargo Advisors. She earned her B.A. from Hofstra University and her M.B.A. from the University of South Florida. Maureen serves on the Advisory Board for the Community Foundation, was a Charter Member of the Wachovia Advisory Group and is an active fundraiser for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation and Equality Florida. In addition, she is also an advisor to the Legacy Society for Planned Giving at the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay. Maureen is active in the Tampa Prep community as well, having served as Treasurer and Class Rep for the Parents Alliance, a volunteer on the Auction Acquisitions and Patron Committees and sitting on the Diversity Committee. Maureen has a son, Taylor ('09), and a daughter, Sofia.

Gail Bernucca: Gail Bernucca, current President of the Board of Trustees, has been a realtor for Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate since 1999. She received her undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and her M.B.A. from the Boston University Graduate School of Management. Gail has been a member of the Tampa Prep Auction Committee since 2003, serving as Auction Chair in 2006 and 2007. Gail is also an active community volunteer and, most notably, has served on the Board of Trustees at Congregation Schaarai Zedek and on the Board of Trustees at Independent Day School. Gail and her husband Lou are the parents of Matt (’06).

Bruce Burdge: Bruce Burdge is the Vice President of the Tampa Prep Board of Trustees. He is a founding Principal of Arcis Investments, a private capital real estate investment company. He and his wife Katherine moved to Tampa in 1992 on an 18-month assignment from Citicorp in Manhattan, and decided to make the Tampa Bay area home. Bruce earned his undergraduate degree in Business and Economics from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY and his MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School in New York City. Bruce and Katherine are active volunteers in the community, have served on the Alumni Boards at their respective colleges, are involved with Boy Scouts, and have two children at Tampa Prep, a daughter Taylor ('12) and a son Spencer ('16).

Christine Burdick: Joining us this year, Christine Burdick represents the Tampa Downtown Partnership as an ex-officio member of our Board of Trustees. Christine has been the President of the Tampa Downtown Partnership since April of 2002. Prior to moving to Tampa, she worked on revitalization and regeneration projects in the cities of Chicago and Miami. As President of the not-for-profit Tampa Downtown Partnership, Christine leads her membership organization comprised of companies, organizations and individuals with a common goal of advancing community and business development in downtown Tampa. Christine has over 30 years of experience in retailing and urban development. Burdick is a member of the International Economic Development Council, the Urban Land Institute, the International Downtown Association and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Locally, she is a trustee of the University of Tampa, a board member of The Florida Aquarium, the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, and Tampa Bay & Co. and she serves on the executive committee of the Homeless Coalition of Hillsborough County. Christine is a graduate of Northeasten Illinois University and is a past chairwoman of the board of directors of the International Downtown Association. Christine and her husband Davis live in Tampa and have two children.

Charles (Chuck) Carver: Chuck Carver is a commercial real estate attorney and a shareholder with the Tampa law firm of McNamara & Carver, P.A. Chuck has served on the Executive Council of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar and the Hillsborough County Bar Association among other professional associations. After earning his B.S. in Public Relations from the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications, Chuck attained his J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law. Chuck and his wife Lisa are actively involved in many family-centered volunteer activities in the community including Palma Ceia United Methodist Church, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and youth sports activities. Chuck and Lisa have two children at Tampa Prep, Alec ('13) and Audrey ('16).

Matthew Reed Danahy, '79: Matt is a member of Tampa Prep's 3rd graduating class. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, and his JD from Stetson University College of Law. In 2004 he founded Danahy & Murray, PA. The firm exclusively represents businesses and individuals throughout Florida involved in insurance disputes against their insurers. Matt is "AV" rated by the Martindale-Hubbell legal rating service. He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by both the Florida Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has been recognized by his peers as having exceptional knowledge and skill in handling insurance coverage disputes (Florida Super Lawyers 2007 through 2012), and has been selected as one of Florida’s Legal Elite (Florida Trend Magazine 2011, 2012, and 2013) and also for Super Lawyers. Matt and his wife Lori live in Hyde Park and are the proud parents of two children, Conor ('17) and Lauren ('18).

Eric Ebbert: Eric Ebbert is another welcome addition to our Board of Trustees this year. Eric currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of ProVise Management Group, a financial planning and wealth advisory firm. Eric is a Certified Financial Planner with an undergraduate degree from Hamilton College and an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. Eric was a gubernatorial appointee and vice-chairman of the District 6 Community Health Purchasing Alliance. Eric is also a former member of the board of The Spring of Tampa Bay and The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay's Professional Advisory Committee. Eric has completed the Leadership Tampa program and is a member of Leadership Tampa Alumni. Eric, active with our Terrapin Dads, and his wife, Blythe, have two children, Barrett and Davis ('16).

Ira Federer: Ira is a valuable addition to our Board of Trustees this year. Ira's current role is that of Senior Vice President and Divisional Director for Raymond James & Associates, Inc. whose international headquarters are located in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is the Divisional Director for the Florida/Metro Division which consists of over 65 branch offices and locations in Florida, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, South Carolina, and Massachusetts. Ira is a graduate of Rutgers University and received an MBA from the University of Miami. He is also a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School. Ira is a past president of the Florida Securities Dealers Association (FSDA), is the chairman of SIFMA's Bulls Sales Management Roundtable Committee, and is a former Board member of the Tampa Museum of Art. He is an active member of numerous organizations throughout the state of Florida, and is on the American Heart Association's Executive Leadership Committee and is Raymond James' company leader for the Tampa Bay Heart Walk. Ira and his wife, Denise, reside in Tampa and have two sons, Mitchell ('02) and Craig ('06). |

Laurel Fredlake: Laurel is a welcome addition to our Board of Trustees this year. When her family moved to Tampa in 2006, Laurel found a home for her volunteer work at Tampa Prep. She currently serves as chair of Prep's Annual Fund and led Prep's auction committee for two years. She is active with the Tampa Prep Parents' Alliance and has held several leadership positions. Laurel also volunteers for the competitive swim teams on which her daughters participate, including TBAY. She enjoyed a challenging 20+ year professional career in marketing and advertising in Atlanta, Georgia, before her family moved to Brussels, Belgium, followed by moves to Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Michigan. Her work currently includes on-site event support for Starwood Hotels and Resorts. Laurel earned a MBA from Georgia State University and a BBS from the University of Oregon. Laurel and her husband Jim have two daughters, Grace ('09) and Hannah ('15).

Ken Fullerton: Ken Fullerton, the current Treasurer/Secretary of the Board of Trustees, is a native of the Tampa Bay area and is a graduate of St. Petersburg High School, Harvard College and Harvard Business School. After receiving his MBA, Ken pursued a career in public finance forming a financial advisory firm, Fullerton and Friar, Inc. with Robert Friar in 1990 serving the financial needs of state and local governments and major airport operators. In an April 2010 acquisition, the partners are now Managing Directors of Public Financial Management, Inc. Ken and his wife Linda have two sons. Ryan (a graduate of UCF) and Andy ('13).

Donna Hatton: Donna is the President of the Tampa Prep Parents Alliance and as such she is an ex-officio member of the Board of Trustees. Donna grew up in Franklin, Tennessee and attended Belmont College in Nashville. She worked as the Registrar for RSL, Florida and has also owned a retail boutique. She has been involved with the Parents Alliance since 2006 and has held various positions of leadership as a grade level assistant representative, hospitality chair and community service coordinator. Donna and her husband Paige have two daughters, Jordan ('10) and Julianne ('17).

Gail Golman Holtzman: Gail Golman Holtzman is an attorney with Kass, Shuler, Solomon, Spector, Foyle and Singer, P.A. Ms. Holtzman graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master of Arts Degree in English. She received her law degree from The National Law Center, George Washington University, Washington, D.C. In Tampa, Ms. Holtzman participates in civic activities that include the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center “Broadway Ball” Steering Committee, Board of Trustees of the Foundation of St. Joseph’s Hospitals and the Youth Committee of Congregation Schaarai Zedek. Gail and her husband Steve have two children, Whitney and Joshua ('09)

Steve Mezer: Steve Mezer is a Real Estate lawyer with Bush Ross specializing in Condominium and Homeowners Association Law. He earned his B.A. from the University of Miami and his law degree from Stetson University College of Law. Steve is Co-Vice Chair and Secretary of the Condominium and Planned Development Law Committee and Community Associations Subcommittee of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar. He has also been an Adjunct Professor at St. Petersburg College where he taught condominium association law. Steve serves on the Board of Directors for the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. Steve and his wife Karen have a daughter Amanda (’09).

Jeff Mitchell: Jeff has served on the Tampa Prep Finance Committee and been an active volunteer with the annual Auction since 2009. He earned his B.S. from Ohio State University in Business Administration, with a major in accounting, and later earned his M.B.A. from the University of Tampa. Jeff retired after a 21 year executive career with Direct Marketing. He and his wife of 34 years, Judy, are the parents of Taylor, Tampa Prep Class of 2012.

Donna J. Petersen: Dr. Petersen is Dean of USF's College of Public Health and Senior Vice President for USF Health. She earned her master's and doctoral degrees from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in the area of maternal and child health. She has particular expertise in adolescence, having worked in several crisis counseling and runaway youth shelters, juvenile detention facilities, adolescent pregnancy prevention and parenting programs, and state programs for children and youth with special health care needs. She is an author, educator and frequent lecturer, is the editor of the Maternal and Child Health Journal, and serves on both the Hillsborough County Health Care Plan Advisory Board and the Tampa Bay Partnership's OneBay Health Initiative. Donna is the mother of Kerry Alexander, '08 and Morgan Alexander ('13).

Kevin M. Plummer: As Head of School Kevin serves as an additional ex-officio member on the Tampa Prep Board of Trustees. In July 2007 Kevin became the sixth Head of School for Tampa Prep having previously served as the Head of Middle School at Chestnut Hill Academy in Philadelphia. Kevin began his career in education at Colorado Academy in Denver, Colorado where he had graduated from high school as a National Merit Semi-Finalist and winner of the Headmaster's Award. From there he went on to Graland Country Day School in Denver where he served for ten years before being hired at Chestnut Hill. Kevin earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Colby College where he was named an All-American mid-fielder on the Lacrosse Team. He added a Certificate of Achievement in the Art and Craft of Principalship at Harvard University in 1992 and was awarded the highly competitive and prestigious Klingenstein Fellowship at the Teachers College of Columbia University where he received a Master of Education Administration in 1999. Kevin and his wife Jennifer have an adorable daughter, Galen, born shortly after their arrival in Tampa.

Eve Sawicki: Eve Sawicki is an independent marketing and sales consultant with twenty years of marketing experience in management for IBM. Mrs. Sawicki has been an active Tampa Prep Auction volunteer and is currently on the Parent Board at Culver Academies. With a degree from Duke University in Economics, she is the Chair for the Duke Alumni Admissions program in Pinellas County. Mrs. Sawicki lives in St. Petersburg with her husband Felix and two children, Jennifer and Matthew.

Todd Schlemmer: Todd Schlemmer is the owner of UCI Construction Services and Tech Tower Properties where he and his wife Alta work together. Todd earned his Electrical Engineering degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and has a Florida Certified Electrical Contractors license. He has extensive experience in electrical utility and cellular communication industries. Both Todd and Alta actively support the youth missions groups at Bay Life Church where they attend, and quickly immersed themselves in volunteer efforts with the Tampa Prep community serving on the Annual Fund and Auction committees. Alta is currently the Middle School Softball Coach. Their family includes children Wesley ('15) and Avery ('16).

Beth Sigety: Beth Sigety and her husband Birge work together at their firm, Bison Investments, Inc. - formed in 1996 as a private investment fund oriented toward opportunistic investments in manufacturing, distribution and real estate. Beth holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and attended New York University's graduate school and Emory University's Executive M.B.A. program. Mrs. Sigety is an active school and community volunteer and, in her free time, she enjoys her family, reading, rowing, sailing, and new adventures. The Sigetys have three children, Austin ('04), Colyer ('08), and Alex ('11).

Arne Skjaerpe: Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Arne Skjaerpe joined the Board in June 2011 after a decorated career of 32 years as an officer in the Norwegian Army. He has served in a number of positions; training and education, operations, and senior management in Norway and around the world. He brought his family to Tampa while serving at US CENTCOM as Chairman of the Multinational Coalition and Senior National Norwegian Representative at MacDill AFB. Arne is now a Market Development Manager with Yara North America, Inc. He and his wife Unni have three children at Prep: Astrid, '13, and twins Rasmus and Oscar, '14.

Cathy Smith: Cathy Smith was named Trustee Emerita in 2004 after serving as President of the Board from 2001 - 2003. She and her husband Bob are the parents of three Tampa Prep alum, Kristin ('95), Justin ('98) and Megan ('03). The Smiths own Psychological Assessment Resources, Inc. The company creates and publishes psychological, educational and career interest tests. Cathy also serves on the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels of Tampa and the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. She is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University where she earned her B.S. degree in Nursing.

Steve Torres: Steve Torres was happily welcomed to our Board of Trustees this year. Steve is the Chief Operating Officer and CFO of Vology, a reseller of certified networking equipment and provider of technical professional services for clients worldwide. Steve oversees all financial, operational and HR funcions of the company, including strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, risk management, business intelligence and purchasing and logistics management. Steve is a CPA with a degree in Accounting from USF and an MBA from Regis University. Steve also attended the Global Leadership Forum at Harvard Business School. Prior to Vology, he worked as the Director of Financial Reporting for both Jabil and Syniverse Technologies and as the Senior Manager for Tech Data Coorporation. Steve is a veteran of the United States Navy, having served as a 2nd Class Operations Specialist from 1989-1993. Steve and his wife, Melissa Buda, have one child, Sammi Bumberg ('15).

Glenn Vaughn, M.D.: Glenn Vaughn is the immediate Past-President of the Tampa Prep Board of Trustees. He owns Pediatric Anesthesia, P.A. and serves as the managing partner and medical director of Pediatric Surgery Centers, LLC, an ambulatory surgery center in Tampa. Glenn’s education includes a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Children’s National Medical Center Washington DC, anesthesiology residency at University of South Florida College of Medicine and an Internal Medicine internship at the University Of Miami School of Medicine. He received his graduate degree in medicine from the University of Miami and a B.S. from the University of Florida. Dr. Vaughn served as Chief-of-Staff at All Children’s Hospital from 2001-2003 and served on the All Children’s Hospital Board during that time. He and his wife, Mimi Farmer, MD, are the parents of Miles (‘07) and Wade (‘09).

Robert Walter: Bob Walter served as President of the Board from 1996-99 and was named Trustee Emeritus in 1999. Bob is the president of Walter Property Investments, which is in the business of developing, buying, operating and selling real estate. He is married to Zan Walter and is the father of Alex ('97). Bob graduated from Yale University and the University of Florida Law School.

Christine Newkirk Zettel, '85: Christine is a lifelong resident of Tampa. She is a proud graduate of Tampa Prep where she was a three-sport varsity athlete (volleyball, basketball and softball) all four years and a member of the four-time State Championship Volleyball team. She earned her bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Florida and a Master's of Accounting in Taxation from the University of South Florida. Christine is a partner in the firm of Pender Newkirk & Company CPA. She has served as a Trustee for the Hillsborough County Bar Foundation and is a lifetime member of the University of Florida Alumni, serving as Vice President of the Gator Club for many years. Her current volunteer efforts include coaching softball at Palma Ceia Little League and volleyball (7th grade) at St. John's Episcopal. Christine and her husband John Zettel have two daughters, Caitlin and Courtney.

Ted Zollinger: Ted joins our Board of Trustees this year. He is currently the Vice President, Client and Professional Services, for AccuData Integrated Marketing, and leads both the day to day account oversight for their large, integrated data solutions and the analytic function that develops custom statistical algortithms and reporting solutions. He earned his B.S. in marketing from Lehigh University and has over 20 years experience designing and executing direct marketing campaigns, and developing technology solugions to make these efforts more efficient. Ted and his wife Betsy are the parents of Carrie ('12) and Tim ('14).
