I’m part of the small percentage of people who have always known what they wanted to be when they grew up. As far back as I can remember, I knew I wanted to be in front of the classroom. I’d come home from school and teach my younger sister of four years everything I had learned that day. This sister, who recently received her doctorate – and has been dubbed the family genius likes to give me credit for her high IQ.

Today, I get to share my passion for Geography with sixth and seventh graders. This age group’s energy and enthusiasm is infectious, which makes me love coming to work every day. I feel my classroom is the perfect balance of structure and educational fun. By providing structure, I know my students will be prepared for the next chapter in their lives. With exciting, interactive lessons, I hope to inspire a thirst for knowledge that stays with them throughout their lives.Working at Tampa Preparatory School, I’m surrounded by educators who care deeply about their profession and the success of their students. We have access to the latest and greatest technology, giving us more freedom to be creative and innovative. Middle school can be a difficult and awkward time in a child’s life.

Tampa Prep provides a safe, caring environment where children are encouraged to be themselves.In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my husband.
