» Senior Internships
Successful completion of the senior internship is a requirement of graduation. Starting in January, seniors will be counseled through the process of finding and preparing for internships. Information about senior internships will be mailed home to families of seniors in early February. Seniors will also learn details about the program during class seminar time. The deadline for setting up the internship is Tuesday, April 18. Ideally, seniors should have committed to an internship earlier in the spring. Selection forms (green sheets with sponsor information) should be turned in to senior advisors by the deadline. Seniors will intern for a total of 70 hours, Monday, May 1 - Friday, May 19. Please talk with your senior's advisor if more information is needed. Additionally, it is mandatory that seniors attend the presentation and dinner on Thursday, May 18.

» What time should seniors arrive and what should they wear to the Senior Internship Presentation and Dinner?
Seniors should arrive at the Student Center no later than 6:00 p.m. The dress code for the evening is business casual attire.

» What if I am sick and can't attend the Senior Internship Presentation and Dinner?
If you cannot attend the presentation and dinner, for any reason, you must write a five-page typed paper describing your experience at the internship. This must be turned in to Mr. Carlson prior to graduation and is a requirement for graduation.

» Is my sponsor for the internship supposed to come to the Senior Internship Presentation and Dinner?
No, this is for seniors and their faculty advisors only. This is a time for the seniors to get together to share what they did and learned during their internship.

» When and What is Senior Day?
Friday, April 28 is a regular school day, but…the seniors decorate their cars in the parking lot, receive their cap and gown, practice for graduation, enjoy the all-school cookout in the afternoon, announce to the entire school their choice of college and enjoy the yearbook slideshow and signing.

» I see Senior Celebration on the calendar, what is it?
Senior Celebration is on Wednesday, May 24, at 6:00 p.m. This is a time for parents and their senior (and if you would like, close relatives and guests) to come to Higgins Hall to enjoy an evening of talent, awards and dinner. Requests for seating are accepted. You will receive an invitation in the mail that will require an RSVP.

» Do the seniors and parents sit at separate tables during the Senior Celebration Dinner?
Seniors will sit at the same table with their parents. Each table seats ten people. Please keep this in mind if you make seating requests on your RSVP. We will do our best to accommodate your requests.

» Help, I can't find Higgins Hall!
Higgins Hall is located within the grounds of St. Lawrence Parish located at 5225 N. Himes Avenue, just north of Jesuit High School and Raymond James Stadium.

» Cap, Tassle and Gown: should I have already ordered it?

» What should seniors wear to Graduation?
Beneath their gowns, girls wear nice skirts and blouses or dresses; boys wear a jacket, tie and slacks. No flip-flops or athletic shoes may be worn.

» Should my senior have a special cord for being in NHS, Cum Laude and a Concentration?
The honor cord will be handed out the day of graduation.
