Schedule an appointment
An interview and tour with an Admissions officer is the first step in becoming familiar with Tampa Preparatory School. Interested families may schedule individual parent interviews and tours weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Allow for at least an hour for your visit. To make an appointment, contact the Admissions Office at 813-251-8481.
Submit an online application
Applications must be submitted with the $75.00 application fee by February 15th. Families must come for an interview and submit an application before setting up a shadowing day!

• Teacher Recommendation Form-Download (PDF Document)

Schedule a Shadowing Day at Tampa Preparatory School
During your child's visit, he/she will shadow a host student throughout the campus attending classes, mingling with students, meeting faculty and enjoying lunch. The Admissions Office will conduct an interview at some point in the day. Students can be scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from October through March. Applicants should contact the Admissions Office to schedule an appointment. Parents are invited back at 2:30 p.m. to meet with a Parent Ambassador on the day their child shadows.
Take the SSAT and the Character Skills Snapshot.
Take the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) and the Character Skills Snapshot Assessment beginning in October and no later than February. Be sure to request that your scores be reported to Tampa Preparatory School. Families can register online at www.ssat.org. Select Tampa Preparatory School from the list of schools. Applicants for the junior and senior year must submit PSAT or SAT scores.(The Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) may be substituted for the SSAT for those students where the ISEE is more commonly used. Families may register online at www.iseetest.org.)

Families are advised to login to their My Backpack account to check the status of their child's Admissions file. Completed Admissions files are reviewed by Admissions Officers on a rolling basis for all grades except grade 9. Notification letters for grade 9 applicants are mailed on March 1st.
