Kevin Phillips

Kevin Phillips is Managing Partner of PEI Global Partners (PEI), a New York City and Tampa-based boutique investment bank specializing in power and renewables.  Kevin founded PEI in 2021 after a 20-plus year career on Wall Street.  PEI advises financial sponsors, developers, and corporate clients on mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity financings, and is regulated by FINRA and the SEC.  During its first year of operations, PEI raised over $4 billion for owners and developers of renewable and thermal power.

Prior to founding PEI, Kevin served as Joint Global Head of the Power, Utilities and Renewables teams at Jefferies and Cantor Fitzgerald, as well as in senior investment banking positions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Lazard, focused on the power and utilities sector.  Prior to Wall Street, Kevin began his career as an Associate at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York.

Kevin received his B.S.F.S. from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in 1995, and subsequently earned his M.B.A. from the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business and his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1999, where he served on the Georgetown Law Journal and was elected to the Order of the Coif.  Kevin currently serves on the Board of Visitors of the Georgetown University Law Center, where he is a proud supporter of the Center for the Constitution.

Kevin is a native of the Tampa Bay Area and graduated from Jesuit High School in 1991.  Kevin returned to Tampa in 2022 with his family, after over thirty years in New York and Washington, and he is very excited to be home.  Kevin and his wife Lana recently celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary and have three children, Carmen (Georgetown ’26), Charlotte (Tampa Prep ‘26) and Patrick (Tampa Prep ‘29).  Kevin’s uncle David Couchman recently retired from a 37-year career at Tampa Prep, and of course would not permit his beloved niece and nephew to attend any other school in Tampa!
