Employed Since
After graduating college, I worked in College Admissions before joining the corporate world to help with public relations for an international hotel company. While I enjoyed the challenge of the position and the hospitality industry, I realized I missed working with teenagers. As such, I made a move back to College Admissions where I spent years at the Wilkes Honors College (and in my hometown). My time there helped solidify my passion for helping adolescents while on their college journey. In 2005, I traded my office for a classroom and pursued my graduate degree.

Since arriving to Tampa Prep in 2007, what I love most about our school community is still our students. I witness moments that give me hope for the future: I laugh, I care, I advocate, I support and my heart wells when a student – in his or her own way on their path of self-discovery – grows into a self-advocate, one who is curious about the world around them, is genuinely confident and emanates a spark for life when doing what they love the most. I love my position here for our students, but also for the cherished relationships with my colleagues at colleges and high schools. If you find that I’m not on campus, it’s likely I’m traveling to visit college campuses or attending a conference to foster those relationships.

I hold a Master of Education degree in School Counseling from FAU and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from USF. A Florida native, I prefer being barefoot, I love beautiful days, celebrating happiness and hearing my niece and nephew laugh. I cheer for the hometown teams – Bulls, Lightning, Rays (unless they are playing the Phillies) and Bucs. I aspire to my own definition to live simply and simply live.
