I like to think that my life has gone full circle. My passion for journalism began in a high school classroom as a staff writer for the student newspaper. Flash forward to present day, and here I am, advising two student publications here at Tampa Prep. I began my teaching career right after graduating from Florida State University in 2015. I worked with Hillsborough County Public Schools and taught English as well as advising the student newspaper at my high school.

I found myself in the Tampa Prep family in 2018 and I couldn’t be happier. It is refreshing to be a part of a community that values hard work and determination, all while celebrating the individuality of the students and staff. I am a fourth generation Tampa Native and live in the “up-and-coming” Seminole Heights area. In my free time, you can find me spending time with my family, enjoying a new restaurant in town, or playing with my dog- a redbone coonhound named Doak.
