This year marks the beginning of my 9th year working at Tampa Prep, and with that comes some new and exciting changes! After 8 years as the school Health Coordinator, I’ve joined the Admissions team as the Assistant to the Director of Admissions. I’m excited to share the story of Tampa Prep with our prospective and new families and to help them become a part of this amazing community!

New York born and bred, I am the daughter of two middle school teachers. (I was the kid who KNEW that teachers didn’t live at school!) As a child, my career aspirations always gravitated towards education. I was extremely lucky, as I was able to spend almost 20 years as a stay-at-home mom to my two kids. During those years, I had some fabulous opportunities, including working part-time as a substitute teacher and camp counselor/director, and volunteering as a PTA mom, Sunday School teacher and Girl Scout leader. Working with children and watching them learn and grow has brought me such joy!

My children are all graduates of Tampa Prep! My daughter Carrie is a member of the Class of 2012, and my son Tim and his wife Alexa are members of the Class of 2014. My husband Ted served on the Board of Trustees from 2012 to 2018. Our family recognizes the importance of giving back to the school that has given us so much, and we continue to support Tampa Prep in as many ways as we can. We are all Terrapins, through and through!
